Quick tour of my backyard Koi pond. It is about 1200 gallons. There are 6 koi, 7 or 8 goldfish, a bullfrog, and a bunch of fry. There are two pumps. One runs the main waterfall at about 2500 gph. The other runs the filtration at about 400-600 gph. The filtration consists of a store bought (I think it’s a sunterra) pressure filter for mechanical and some biological, then feeding to a Pondlife Turbo-Twist 3X 9 watt UV, and then to a DIY Biofilter.

skimmer update to wider mouth opening due to strong pump power (water flow is now more equally distributed to the skimmer down to the pipes)
