Koi pond construction. Rendering.

3

We rarely fibreglass rendered ponds these days as our PU foam system is more convenient and often less expensive. This example cost the client over a thousand pounds whereas our foam system would have been half of that. The rendering however is faultless and is to the minimum standard we will apply our 3 layer grp system to. Please be aware that if you render your koi pond this is the standard of finish we work to.

    @onlywhenpissed
    how much does it cost to fibreglass a pond like this one ?
    does it have a set number of years it will last or is it forever?

    @JUNAID187 Curves are fine for us to glass onto. Rough rendering such as amateur or DIY attempts are never as good as a pros work. Imperfections in the render show through the grp and we like our work to look great even if it is under water and covered in algae eventually. My clients are of the same attitude, spend 5k or more on a pond, why spoil it with crap finishes to the important parts?

    why does it have to be flat? how do you do it on a curved or indented surface?
